Having trained as a ceramicist at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, my work has been influenced over the years by my surroundings and by other Potters that I have worked with in the UK, New Zealand and Japan. The general themes touch on animals, ancient mythology, folklore and the sea, with each piece telling its own story.

I like to experiment using different materials where possible and hope that the finished product will have a domestic use as well as being decorative. All works are hand built /and or thrown on the wheel, using a diverse range of clay glazes and glaze firings. Raku and stoneware firings produce vibrant copper lustres and rich oxide glazes.
